Lecture by Timothy Mowl, hosted & sponsored by VHA

Victoria Holland Architecture was honored to sponsor and host a lecture by Timothy Mowl, ‘Garden and Landscape in the Novels of Jane Austen’, on Wednesday the 23rd August as part of Arundel Festival. The lecture was well attended, tickets sold out well in advance and guests enjoyed drinks afterwards. Timothy Mowl, Emeritus Professor in the History of Architecture and Designed Landscape at the University of Bristol, has written widely on historic landscapes and gardens. Timothy discussed the importance of the created environments in Jane Austen’s novels and set them against contemporary garden fashions.
