The Brooking National Architectural Museum
British Architectural Heritage
It was an honour to visit Charles Brooking and view The Brooking National Architectural Museum to which he has dedicated his life. The Brooking Collection is a unique and valuable educational resource that physically charts the evolution of British building architectural detailing over the last 500 years. The collection is estimated to hold in excess of 500,000 items including windows, doors, staircases, ironmongery, mouldings, stained glass, fire grates, fanlights, sash window mechanisms and rainwater goods. The collection contains iconic features from buildings including 10 Downing Street, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the original Wembley Stadium and the Brighton Royal Pavilion.
